One of the great things about our City is the wonderful range of
community festivals and events we have and of cause Horizon Theatre is
involved!
The Earlwood Village Festival is another not-to-miss event that combines the unique qualities of Earlwood's great community.
The festival will take place on Sunday 1 November at the Earlwood Senior Citizens Centre, cnr Homer Street & Joy Ave Earlwood.
The
festival has been built on the hard work and dedication of the Earlwood
Village Festival Organising Committee Inc, who have been outstanding in
their efforts to run this annual event since 2001. In 2006, the
Committee approached Canterbury Council and asked council to manage the event and they were
happy to help.
The Festival plays host to plenty of bands,
dancers and performers (including Horizon Theatre), amusement rides, entertainment and international cuisine, and
reflects the quintessential Earlwood character.
Each successive year builds on the great traditions of the event, delivering a fun and enjoyable day for the whole family.
Performers
or stallholders are encouraged to participate in the Earlwood Village
Festival and are invited to apply prior to the Festival.
Creative
stalls, performers including Horizon Theatre, singers,
and dance groups of all styles including jazz, hip-hop, ballet,
multicultural dance groups, school groups or bands are just a few
examples of the entertainment which we encourage to help us make this
day such a fantastic event.
