Bankstown expressed its artistic side during BestFest 2008.
This two-day event featured a range of exhibits, performances and workshops by local artists. Best of all, it was free.
The theme of this year's event was Taking it to the Streets, with an emphasis on outdoor activities.
The event included Horizon Theatre's new children's show Nursery Rhyme Time, calligraphy demonstrations, body art, airbrush workshops, Asian line dancing, Indigenous and cultural storytelling, the LaVoz Women's Drumming Group and freestyle painting.
There was also break dancing and hip-hop competitions on the day.
